Rob McEwen, Director

About Rob

Mr. McEwen has been associated with the gold industry all his career, his first 18 years in the investment industry and since 1990 as CEO of several gold mining companies.

Rob is the founder of Goldcorp, where he took the company from a market capitalization of $50 million to over $8 billion. Rob is currently the Chairman, CEO and largest shareholder of McEwen Mining Inc. (MUX), exploring for gold and silver in Canada, USA, Mexico and Argentina. The cost of his investment in MUX and McEwen Copper exceeds US$200 million. At MUX he owns 18% of the company and takes a salary of $1/ year.

Allen V. Ambrose, Director

About Allen

Mr. Ambrose has nearly three decades of experience in the mining industry, including work with large companies as well as junior exploration companies. He has been a director of Minera Andes since November 1995. Mr. Ambrose has extensive experience in all phases of exploration, project evaluation and project management, and has worked as a geologic consultant in the U.S., Venezuela, and Argentina. As a consultant, he was a co-discoverer of a Venezuelan auriferous massive sulfide deposit acquired by Gold Reserve Corporation, and known generally as the Brisas deposit. He formerly was employed as exploration manager for N.A. Degerstrom Inc., a U.S. contract mining company, and has worked as a geologist for Cyprus Minerals, Kidd Creek Mines, Molycorp, Boise Cascade and Dennison Mines. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Geology from Eastern Washington University.

Ian Ball, Director

Ian has spent the majority of his professional career in the mining and natural resource sector. In executive roles he has been involved in companies focused on gold and silver exploration and development in North and South America as well as royalty businesses. He most recently served as the President and CEO of Abitibi Royalties, Inc. a Toronto-listed gold royalty company. He joined Abitibi in 2014 and served as an officer and director until 2021 when the company was acquired for $250 million. Prior to his tenure at Abitibi, Ian served as McEwen Mining’s President.

Mr. Brissenden is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years of experience in the mining and exploration sector. He serves as a director for several mining companies, including Canuc Resources Corporation, Excellon Resources Inc., Corona Gold Corporation, Lexam VG Gold and Valdez Gold. He formerly served as a board member of Metco Resources and Hudbay Minerals Inc., among others.

Robin Dunbar, Director

Mr. Dunbar is a director and President and CEO of Mustang Minerals Corp. which is developing a nickel deposit in Manitoba, Canada (TSXV: MUM). Mr. Dunbar is the former Chief Financial Officer and director of Aquila Resources Inc. (TSX: AQA). Mr. Dunbar holds an M.B.A. from Dalhousie University.

Michelle also serves as MC, host and panel moderator for conferences and events around the globe.

Dr. Merri Sanchez, Director

Dr. Sanchez is a Technical Fellow with The Aerospace Corporation where she provides technical and strategic advice on matters concerning civil, commercial, and government spaceflight programs. She has more than 40 years of spaceflight engineering and operations experience. She previously served as the Chief Scientist of the U.S. Air Force Space Command, as a senior executive for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and as Senior Director of a commercial space company. She received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in Physical Sciences (Planetary Geology) from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, a Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering (Human Factors) from the University of Houston.

Mr. Nicolas Darveau-Garneau (“Nick”) is an AI and digital transformation expert with over 25 years of experience. Nick was Google’s Chief Evangelist, where he worked with the C-suites of more than 800 of Google’s top customers to help them accelerate their digital transformation. Nick also worked as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Coveo, a leading AI company. Nick has been a technology entrepreneur, investor, and analyst since 1995. He was part of the founding team of MSn.com at Microsoft. He co-founded four Internet companies, selling three of them. Nick has also invested in 21 technology companies. Nick was also a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. and a senior equity analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein, a top-ranked Wall Street firm. Mr. Darveau-Garneau graduated with a Bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

William Shaver, Director

Mr. Shaver is a seasoned mining executive with over 50 years of management and executive experience in all facets of mine design, construction, and operations. In 1980, he was a founder of Dynatec Corporation, which became one of the leading contracting and mine operating groups in North America. In 2013, he was recognized as the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for his devotion to bringing innovation to the mining industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of INV Metals before its sale to Dundee Precious Metals. He completed the Technician Program at the Haileybury School of Mines and is a Professional Engineer with a BSc in Mining Engineering from Queens University in Kingston. He is also a designated Independent Corporate Director, having received his ICD.D designation in 2019.
