TARTAN MINE PROJECT

ABOUT TARTAN MINE PROJECT

Located in Manitoba, Canada

The Tartan Mine Project is a high-grade past-producing underground gold asset located near Flin Flon, in one of Canada’s most established mining regions.

With an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, redevelopment potential, and multiple expansion targets, Tartan is positioned as a compelling Canadian gold growth opportunity and potential future contributor to McEwen Mining Inc.’s long-term production growth.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Gold Resources: 308,900 oz Indicated at 3.67 g/t Au and 302,700 oz Inferred at 3.32 g/t Au
  • $6 million 2026 exploration
  • Past producing underground mine
  • 30,000 oz/yr initial concept, 55,000 oz/yr expansion concept
  • Near-mine and regional exploration upside

LOCATION & OVERVIEW

Tartan is located along the Tartan Shear Zone, within the Flin Flon Greenstone Belt, approximately 12 kilometers northeast of Flin Flon.

The project benefits from access to road, rail, airport, grid power, and skilled workforce, reducing the need for remote camp infrastructure.

TARTAN'S RESOURCE EXPANSION POTENTIAL

The 2026 exploration program at Tartan has a $6 million budget focused on expanding current resources and testing regional targets.

Results to date indicate multiple opportunities to expand the resource base in the region by further investigating the orogenic vein-hosted gold system controlled by the Tartan Shear Zone. These targets support the Company’s strategy of growing ounces through systematic exploration.

1. Near-Resource Expansion

  • Additional drilling to extend mineralization along strike
  • Western and Eastern flanks of the Main Zone remain open

2. Depth Potential

Mineralization remains open vertically within:
  • Main Zone
  • South Zone

3. District-Scale Upside

  • The adjacent Tartan West property shows encouraging historical results and surface sampling anomalies.

LOW-IMPACT DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

Tartan benefits from its location in Manitoba, where access to a power grid supplied by approximately 98% renewable energy supports lower-emission development potential.

The Company is also reviewing metallurgical test work for cyanide-free recovery technologies.

The goal is to position Tartan as a low-impact, environmentally progressive operation.

DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY AT TARTAN

  • Resource expansion drilling
  • Exploration across satellite targets
  • Underground mine redevelopment planning
  • Metallurgical test work and optimization
  • Environmental operating license review
  • Technical and economic studies

Current development concepts contemplate initial production at 500 tpd for ~30,000 gold ounces per year, with future expansion potential to 1,000 tpd for 45,000–55,000 ounces per year.

STRATEGIC ROLE WITHIN MCEWEN

Tartan is positioned to become a meaningful growth asset within McEwen’s portfolio with the potential to contribute:

  • Gold production growth from Canadian operations
  • Higher-grade future ounces
  • Portfolio diversification
  • Scalable production optionality
  • Progress toward long-term corporate growth objectives
